Moodle 2: The Next Generation – Julian Ridden (aka Moodleman)
Julian's presentation will explain in detail all the many great new features which have been introduced in the new edition of Moodle...called Moodle 2. This new edition contains many of the most asked-for features as well as allowing for some huge pedagogy shifts in how learning materials are deployed.
Julian will also be addressing the impact of the new Moodle 2 on users in all sectors such as TAFESA, private training organisations, and other Moodle users.
About Julian Ridden
 Julian has more than 12 years experience in education (specifically in online e-learning) with a wide range of both corporate clients and educational institutions as well as experience in project management, systems implementation, networking, support and training.
Julian is an experienced IT Manager within the scholastic sector as well as a proven ICT Integrator in both boys and girls education. He also has worked for many years in adult education with experience in both the corporate and VET sectors. This knowledge of the IT world both behind the server door and at the education coalface (the classroom) has provided him with a diverse skills base from which to pull when consulting and training clients.
For the past 2 years Julian sat on the AIS IT Managers committee representing IT managers from independent schools around NSW. He also is a founding member of the Sydney Moodle User Group.
Julian regularly speaks at Moodle and education conferences both locally and abroad. He is known as a passionate, well informed and entertaining speaker who can provide insightful and thought provoking presentations.
